Company Overview

We have been doing disaster drills all over the nation since 2005. We have been to disaster areas of all types from hurricanes, tornadoes, all kinds of weather, earthquakes and wild land fires and set up command posts on tops of hillsides.

We are subject matter experts on all of these areas including terrorist and active shooter scenarios.

Having spent twenty four years in the law enforcement arena, working with all kinds of agencies, state, local and federal jurisdictions, we have a varied background of what to expect and how to handle most situations that we might confront. The associates that I have worked with over the years are also subject matter experts and together, we have over three hundred years of experience, but are as well grounded to be able to work with anyone.

We have handled business continuity issues and helped companies large and small through some of the most harrowing circumstances to be able to come out the other end of a disaster to flourish. You have to be strong, willing and have a plan. We can help you with that.

We have done disaster/emergency planning for individuals, families and communities and we can help you.

Ron studied Administration of Justice and Geology in college. Originally, he wanted to be an astro-geologist. He couldn’t get into flight school because he wore glasses. Too bad that requirement didn’t change until sometime in the 1990’s. Ron and his classes spent many hours out in the Mojave and Arizona deserts around volcanic cones and plugs. He use to own many samples of volcanic snowflake obsidian and different kinds of lava and other kinds of rock.

Since the early 1980’s Ron Tyler has been working to make sure people are prepared for whatever comes there way. Ron started doing survival dinners with his parents at a local church and talking about why people needed to be prepared.

We have lived in earthquake country a great majority of our lives. Quite a few large earthquakes hit San Diego and the state of California where he lived, and as a First Responder, he went to those areas to help serve, rescue and train people.

Ron has set up emergency command posts during fire seasons in the hills and mountains of southern California and in Colorado during fire seasons. Having been a volunteer fireman and then a Police Officer, Ron knows what needs to be done and has done it.

Although homes and property were destroyed during these fires and earthquakes and weather events, Ron and the crews have saved many peoples lives.

Ron has spoken to hundreds of community groups since before the turn of the millennium (year 2000), on what to do if the computers were to shut down, come New Years Day 2000. Although nothing did happen, people became prepared and at least knew what they needed to do to stay safe and keep them and their families alive.

After that, Ron help organized Emergency Preparedness Fairs in the communities where he lived. Through his travels Ron has met hundreds of people and is valued in those communities and continues to work and lecture people on the complex work of Emergency/Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management.

Ron has also delved into the work of helping businesses prepare for emergencies and keeping businesses running even during emergencies in their areas. Business Continuity is also a very important part of this work. Ron has written hundreds of plans for businesses large and small.

Ron and his colleagues have worked around the country continue to monitor communities throughout the nation and the world and have taken part in Disaster Drills coast to coast.

As the President of Emergency Management Associates, we monitor conditions throughout the world. We consult with and go out into those communities with residents and first responders and help train them on what needs to be done during any specific threat condition. Associates throughout the country respond with Federal, State and local agencies throughout the country to assist citizens to recover and survive disasters.

Ron is the past Vice President of the Disaster Discovery Center here in Salt Lake City and continues to sit on the board.

Ron is also in the process of writing a book on Disaster/Emergency Management.

If you have questions or need Emergency Management Associates to help you, please don’t hesitate to call us at 801-810-6250 We are available 24/7 if necessary. If we don’t answer your call immediately, we will call you back with in a very short time. If there is a disaster, we will respond when requested.
